The koinonia way
Healing happens in relationship
Our approach brings together what is too often kept apart: sound, trauma-informed care and Christ-centered inner healing prayer. One brings understanding; the other invites God’s presence into the wounded places. Held together, they make room for healing of the whole person — body, soul, and spirit.
What “koinonia” means here
Koinonia is the Greek word for deep fellowship — connection and shared life, all the way down. It’s the foundation of everything here: care that integrates evidence-based, trauma-informed principles, biblical truth, and transformational prayer to address the whole person.
Faith-based care brings understanding — naming what happened and how it shaped you. Inner healing prayer invites God into those very places, where comfort and truth reach what insight alone cannot. Together, they make room for real, lasting wholeness.
“Cultivating healing and wholeness through authentic relationships — empowering individuals and families to experience freedom, discover purpose, and thrive in healthy connection with God, themselves, and others.”
What working together looks like
A path, not a program
Healing isn’t a formula or a fixed number of sessions. It’s a journey we walk at the pace your soul can hold. Here’s the shape it usually takes.
- 01
A free consultation
We meet, you share what brought you here, and we sense together whether this is a good fit. No pressure, no commitment.
- 02
Understanding the roots
We listen for the story beneath the symptoms — how early experiences and old wounds have shaped you.
- 03
Integrated healing
Compassionate care and inner healing prayer, woven together session by session, addressing mind, body, and spirit at a pace that honors your soul.
- 04
Growth and wholeness
New patterns, restored identity, and healthy connection — so you can heal, grow, and thrive, not just cope.
Practical details
How sessions work
Sessions are private, online, and unhurried, so you can meet from wherever you are. Dr. Dunn is based in North Carolina and serves individuals, couples, families, and leaders across the United States.
Faith is always woven in at your invitation and your pace. Some sessions are mostly conversation; others make room for prayer. What you share is held with care and confidentiality, within the ethical and legal limits we’ll explain clearly before we begin. We never promise outcomes — real transformation is God’s work and yours, unfolding in trust.
The first step is always a free consultation — a relaxed conversation with no pressure.
