Meet Dr. Lori Dunn
A trusted guide toward wholeness
Dr. Lori Dunn is the Founder of Koinonia Restoration House, where she helps individuals, families, and leaders experience healing, wholeness, and transformation through authentic relationships.
She founded the practice on a simple conviction: no one should have to choose between sound, compassionate care and a living faith. Too many people have prayed and served faithfully, yet still carry wounds the church couldn’t quite reach and secular therapy couldn’t quite honor. Koinonia exists for them.
Her heart & calling
Why she integrates faith and healing
Dr. Dunn specializes in attachment trauma, complex trauma, relational healing, and identity formation — helping clients understand how early experiences and unresolved wounds shape emotional health, relationships, and purpose, and move beyond mere survival to lasting healing.
Her conviction is that healing reaches deepest when compassionate care and faith work together. Compassionate care brings understanding — naming what happened and how it shaped us. Inner healing prayer invites God into those very places, where His comfort and truth reach what insight alone cannot. Held together, they make room for real, lasting wholeness of body, soul, and spirit. You can read more about that integration on our approach.
She carries a special heart for those who feel like “misfits” — people who don’t fit neatly into others’ expectations yet carry unique gifts and callings. She loves helping them embrace their God-given identity and become agents of transformation in their families and communities.
